The Circus leaves Winter Quarters in only 6 days!

All the performers here at the show are getting anxious to get back on tour!  The packing of costumes and other needed "road" items has begun.  New props are being completed and the practicing is well underway.  The all new Zorro's Daredevil High Wire will be the new feature thrill act for 2014.  Spanning over 20' high across the center ring this act is going to amaze!  Just from the new props that we've seen there is no doubt that this act will leave the audience breathless and thrilled!  NOJOE and TooT have been working on some of their fan favorite routines from the past including amazing Juggling and Balancing.  Two new full production routines from NOJOE and TooT this year include the "Taming of the Beast" and their take on an American classic the "Washer Women".  The only word we have been able to get out of them so far is "Get ready to get wet!...We're going to be using about 50 gallons of water with each run of the Washer Women Act!"  Audience members should be aware of the signs at center ring that read "Warning Splash Zone".  Miss Jamie has also been working on adding new elements to her favorite Twirl act.  This year's routine will feature more fire than ever before including fire breathing!  A new Trampoline act will be featured this year in ring 3!  Full of acrobatics and amazing stunts we know this will be a new fan favorite.  Also new this year, More Special Effects than ever, A HUGE computer Surround Sound System, Special seating section for our Veterans, First Responders, and Their Families, New Lighting, and More! 

2014 "A Tribute To HOLLYWOOD" U.S. Tour about to begin!

The "All New" 2014 Tour will begin Feb. 27 in Orlando FL at the Central Florida Fair.  The cast of the circus has been very busy this year building new props, costumes, and putting together new routines that are sure to amaze our audiences.  TooT returns to the 2014 tour bringing his fabulous and ridiculous clowning back to the center ring.  Fans will remember that TooT was the youngest person to ever receive a "Clown of the Year" Award and that TooT and NOJOE are the only father and son to ever receive a "Clowning Duo of the Year" Award!  Get ready for some crazy ideas from these two including the all new "Taming of The Beast"!

 

Miss Jamie returns to the show this season with her always beautiful and amazing Swinging Ladder Trapeze!  New for Miss Jamie this season is "More Fire Than Ever Before"!  With new props, special effects, and an awesome Fire Breathing finale`, Guests will be in Awe when Miss Jamie is Thrilling the Children of All Ages!

 

Fifth generation circus performer Hernan Colonia is bringing two new acts to the show in 2014.  A fantastic Trampoline act, displaying acrobatic sensations new to our shows!  Walking a razor thin steel cable spanning the center ring, Hernan will have the audiences gasping to the thrilling feats High Above the arena floor.

 

We are so excited to be opening for our friends and fans in Orlando in just about 2 more weeks!

GreasePaint Film is about to debut!

It's been quiet

It's been so quiet around the show lot for the past couple of weeks since we've been off. Everyone here is very much ready to get back to performing. We've managed to get a few little projects completed during the down time. This will be the last down time for quite a while as we are very busy for the rest of the season. Today we watched the check in for the BASS Masters fishing tournament which is here in town this week. Joey and Lee picked up a few things and fixed a wiring issue for Hernan and Kala's house. We will work on setting the show on Tuesday and run through some practice and a few changes that Lee and Joey have in mind for the slosh gag. We can't believe that plans are already happening for the 2013 show! We open on Friday and perform through the following Sunday.

Tonight while having dinner with family near St. Augustine FL we had the chance to meet Lucille. While we were talking after dinner about Abbott and Costello Lucille came up and started asking if we were talking about Lou. We told her that we were and she told us a few quick stories about her time spent with Lou and Bud. Afterward I told her that our show was in town and invited her to be our guest. She said that she would love to see some of the old style comic clowning. I told her that she would not be disappointed if she saw our soap gag. Hopefully she'll be there!

A day to explore

On Tuesday our parents came down for a visit since we were off for a few days. It was great to see them and spend time just hanging out. My phone was damaged last Friday and is unusable. So, on Monday I visited the local Sprint store who told me that they would file the needed papers so that a replacement phone would be sent to me on Tuesday and that I would be back in business then. After re-filing the paper work an additional time supposedly my replacement phone will be here tomorrow. Only 4 days after it was promised.

We were off to St. Augustine on Wed. to explore the oldest town in America and see the beach which was awesome. Thursday Hernan, Lee, and Kala went back to Atlanta to take care of some business that couldn't wait. Meanwhile we all headed out to Ravine Gardens State Park where the Azaleas are in amazing full bloom. After exploring the park the sun was getting hot so we decided that a trip to the beach was in order. We headed out to spend some great time playing and just relaxing on the beach. So tonight, it's just Jamie, Joey, & Rim Shot hanging out on the lot. It seems very quiet here with us here alone. Our parents head back to Atlanta tomorrow as well so we're here for about 5 days just the three of us. I'm ready to get back to work and perform!

So today after a quick lunch at the Spanish telephone company Taco Bell we headed out to the adventure of doing the laundry. For those of you who may have never been on a traveling show this can at times be an experience. This one wasn't too bad. After first going to the laundry that we had seen earlier we found it packed with only 1 washer open. So then we decided to use the great and wonderful I Phone GPS. After we went up one street, re-calculated, then down another, re-calculated, turned left, then made a U turn, then re-calculated once more Jamie spotted a laundry that wasn't even on the GPS. It was almost equally busy but, after an hour or so everyone's laundry was clean and smelled much better.

When we got back to the lot there were a flock of about 8 wild turkeys who had decided that the area where we're parked looked like a great place to hang out. After watching them for a while it was inside to, get ready for it....Wash the dog, Wash the dog! Jamie and Kala headed out grab groceries. Hernan is working on building some equipment for another show so he's been away for a few days. Tomorrow we will head off to explore Ravine Gardens and hopefully see some of the postponed Daytona 500.
