May 2-3, 2009 Winchester TN

Well, we squeezed in two shows on Saturday and one on Sunday both just as the rains started back up. The crowds on Saturday were absolutely great! It is just so much more fun when an audience gives great feed back. It was like coming back to an old friend here. We were met with old and new friends. A couple of performing friends were on the same spot here in Winchester. Michelle and her dog act as well as Jon Dowker and the Freestyle Connection BMX Stunt team were here. On Sunday just as we went out to get the 2pm show started the sprinkles came. We looked at each other and began to run the acts as fast as we could and keep them entertaining. Jamie was running around trying to get the sound system covered and keep the music going at the same time. It was pretty funny watching her go back and forth across first front track and then she would pop up back track. It was a real Waldo moment. The crowd stayed even through the rain so I think they were having fun. About 10 minutes after the show with just enough time to get the props packed away the rain let go and stayed. We canceled the second show and loaded in the rain. While we were waiting to see if the second show would cancel Tyler was sitting in the RV playing on the computer. Someone (We still are not sure who) crept up behind him and swung a powder sock. The huge amount of powder on the right side of his face, hair, and in the ear was hilarious! I love how clowns amuse themselves between shows! We made the 160 mile jump home and everyone is relaxing until picking up school shows on Wednesday. Thanks International Dogwood Festival you were all great as usual and we are very excited about 2010!
