6-18-2009 Middlesboro KY
Ok, so yesterday was a day for some kicking back and relaxing. Tyler and Joey were off to the Middlesboro KY Country Club for some golf. I'll get some pics up soon I hope. The course is the oldest continually played course in the U.S. It is a very nice little course with short fairways due to the equipment they played with in the 1880's. It didn't matter much because here we were with 21 century equipment and still shooting double bogey's on most holes. I am very proud to be writing today because about sundown yesterday an extremely fast moving storm came through the valley. We were out pulling in the awnings on the Coach and just as I got the last one in the updraft of a tornado started. everything that was on the ground was being sucked straight up into the air. Mats, shoes, gravel, sticks, anything that was on the ground including the mud and dirt was being pulled up. It spun and twisted a couple of trees off about 100 yards from our Coach but thankfully that was the only damage we saw. We have been working closing deals for 2010 and it looks like another great season is shaping up for 2010!

That was so scary! I find it interesting that we ALL had our faces presed up to the window so we could watch it instead of running for cover! If the circus thing doesn't work out, I think we would make good storm chasers! ;)
