Yesterday finished up the 2009 Lawrenceburg KY fair and it was a great success from our point of view. Everyone was so great to us and we had 12 great audiences in 6 days! We finished striking the show at about 12 am and of course spent a couple of hours winding down. This morning we were up early to make a quick 6 hour run home for a couple days! Don't tell anyone! Our next fair dates are in London KY with the Laurel Co. fair and we are looking forward to hopefully some cooler temps. Today during the jump there seemed to be more pictures being taken and smiles and waves from other cars on the road to our little caravan than normal. I guess everyone is summertime and 4th of July holiday friendly!
I always love stopping at fuel stops or whatever along the jumps and having folks come up and read the billboards on every vehicle and trailer and then say, "Hey you guys with the clowns or circus?" Of course the answer is "Nope. We hijacked these trucks but, now we're feeling kinda funny about it!" (Here's your sign!") Of course I'm kidding! We always welcome everyone to stop and talk and ask for autographs, ask for kisses, shoulder rubs, buy our dinner, etc. It really helps our clown ego!
